Ms. Peters is licensed to practice in Michigan, California, and Florida. Her prior clients include individuals and financial institutions, including Merrill Lynch, UBS, and Wells Fargo. She brings rigorous professionalism and a passion to serve her clients.

Background

Halley's experience as a law teacher for teenage felons in a juvenile correctional facility in Florida and in time spent in Miami drug courts fueled her purpose to help individuals facing life crises surrounding criminal charges.

She understands the personal issues that can underlie criminal cases, such as drug addiction, family and socioeconomic stress, and emotional and psychological problems. Working in rehabilitative facilities and with individuals in the legal system struggling with such issues has given her a unique insight as a professional.

Her law review thesis, focused on the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, presented a compelling argument that rehabilitation significantly benefits public safety and effectively lowers recidivism rates, much more so than incarceration.

Halley graduated with Distinction from the University of Michigan in 2008 and is a 2011 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Miami School of Law.
